Goodbye Blogger

Goodbye daydreamers this is my last blogger post.
As you know, if you followed this blog, I got into university and it is so hectic and I dont have as much time for this blog as I used to. I rather post nothing than half assed posts 10 yrs apart. You can follow my visual inspirations on violetsheep.tumblr.com, a blog my cousin and I share. I thank all of you who followed me because without this I had no outlet.

Kite

This is a part of one of my favourite poems Kite by Rives which you can listen to here

So I made for you a kite...enormous.....out of coat hangers, brown paper bag and the masking tape that I found from that drawer, in your kitchen. And I hung it , in the hallway, where you couldn't hardly miss it. And i tagged that kite with my words. I wrote : "Just so you know, my weird mind wanders and my brave heart breaks, I've nailed some milestones, I've made mistakes. Cuz I got more faults than a map of California earthquakes. I'm taking a nap beneath your covers. Wake me if you LIKE me. Wake me if you WANT me . Wake me if you need another poem. Your once and future lover has made himself at home "

Been lagging behind on the posts but I've just been moving in to rez and starting university and its been A LOT. Its been a crazy week but the good kind of crazy. One exciting thing about Canada is all the new art thats no literally juts a bus away . I cant wait to discover some underground artists and galleries.

I've dreaded it, but its here, the end of summer.

SO this title defines my summer. And I've learnt fun happens when you least expect it and happiness is the journey not the destination. So always and forever I choose to live in the moment.

I craft my own drum

I really love African American art and Caribbean or African inspired pieces. Its like a genre on its own. I realized I unknowingly saved a variety of artwork that were done by Nigerian born artist Chidi Okoye. I then started to research him and I was blown away. He is just amazing.

On a completely personal note

Cambridge results are tomorrow. Yes I've been accepted to university but If I fail any subject or get too low I enter my first year on academic probation. So as you can imagine I'm more than a tad bit worried. And nervous. And just about ready to pee my pants. Wish me luck day dreamers!

p.s. Coming soon is a post recapping summer!!! forgive me please. I'm a little nostalgic. I moved to St Lucia two years ago for some deeply personal reasons.I wasn't sure if it was the right decision. But even though the two years haven't been perfect. I met some unforgettable people, created amazing memories and discovered so much about me and I will never ever regret moving here. I so want to ramble but this isn't my diary and I will spare yall.

So in closing, I hoped you drooled over the illustrations as much as i did!
